Rusty trench / Chunky cardigan / Beige Adidas / Striped tee / Breton tee / Khaki jacket / Leopard skirt / Tan sandals

Well hello there, how the devil are you? I can’t quite believe it’s Spring, that it’s been over a month since I posted and that we’re finally in my favourite month of the year! Now I hate to be that Brit who talks about the weather but March was pretty hellish weather wise and all my good intentions for getting transitional pregnancy outfit shots went out of the window thanks to mother nature. Weather woes aside I’m now on the mother of all countdowns as the arrival of April means it’s just days until my 30th birthday and a few more until we welcome baby number two into the world, talk about a life changing month! With May looking pretty maniac I’m taking time out to relax, well as much as you can with a toddler to entertain whilst packing in as many pre birthday celebrations as possible because life’s about balance. Celebrations officially kicked off on Thursday as my friend Claire and I visited Titanic Spa in Huddersfield for a serious pamper session and tomorrow Craigs taking me to London, overnight and child free for all of the birthday surprises. To say I’m excited is an understatement so keep your eyes on my Instagram to see what we get up to, baby hang on in there until I get back, don’t even think about making an early arrival!

Huge life events aside another thing I can’t wait for is the introduction of a few new pieces into my wardrobe – I can’t begin to tell you how sick I am of wearing the same few items over and over again and I’ve no doubt any self respecting 36 week preggo will tell you the exact same. Spring has long been my favourite season so I’m sure it’ll come as no surprise that it didn’t take me long to compile an inspiration collage, particularly when it includes pieces I’ve had my eye on for a while so let’s get down to it. If you’re a regular around these parts you’ll know how much of an & Other Stories fan I am and unsurprisingly they’re on fire this season. I’m in love with the rust coloured trench, the oversized cardigan which is reminiscent of something my style favourite Lizzy would wear and the leopard print midi skirt which is what my dreams are made of. How amazing would this look with my band inspired tee and those Zara tan sandals which give more than just a nod to a certain YSL pair? I also love the idea of wearing the chunky beige cardi with the midi skirt and the nude Adidas trainers for a running around town and baby feeding friendly look. You can tell I’ve put some thought into this can’t you? Speaking of baby friendly fashion I can’t applaud Mango anymore for producing this retro striped button down dress – even if you’re not feeding a little how easy is this to wear, just add a basket bag and those tan sandals and you’re outfit ready.

The final piece that’s got me hot under the collar is this khaki jacket from Whistles, I’ve been on the prowl for the perfect lightweight throw on for a while and I think this could be the one. While I wasn’t fully sold on the star embroidery at first I became keen to try this on after seeing Anna rocking it in a recent Insta Stories try on session – like the trench I mentioned earlier I find wardrobe additions like these pretty classic and season less which are definitely two points I consider when spending over £100 on a piece.

Now if anyone happened to need any birthday present inspiration I hope I’ve been helpful…

What are you hoping to add to your wardrobe this season?
